Behind the Design ︎
At CalArts, the majority of interactions I have had with musicians have been when hearing them practice in random corners of the school. There’s always music trailing from the Gamelan Room and violinists practicing in the halls behind our studios. Because of the lack of practice rooms in the school’s music department, musicians are forced to find awkward locations to play their music. This album was a homage to that, and how music is hiding behind every corner of my school.
