PAPER TIGERS ︎
Born in the year of the tiger, tigers have always meant a lot to me. They are beautiful and powerful creatures that are simultaneously subtle and dangerous. I’ve always like exploring the connections between power and feminity, and tigers are often the center of that exploration.
These tiger drawings were produced through a combination of digital and hand-drawn techniques and are a part of a larger series of printed material.

PROCESS: After making concept thumbnails of tigers hiding in bushes, I would create pencil and ink drawings. After scanning the image into the computer, I would digitally color through Photoshop.
